Terms & Conditions

 

  Rates and Availability

  • Reservations will not be taken more than 9 months in advance.
  • Rates may be subject to change. The new rate will be charged onto the booking.
  • All rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
  • The child rate is for children aged between 4– 14 years; children under the age of 4 years are welcome free of charge.
  • All reservations must be made by persons 21 years or older. We accept bookings for sites for 21-year olds and above.
  • Any accommodation unit is restricted to bookings for 25-year olds and above.
  • Please be advised any specific rooms or sites requested cannot be guaranteed.
  • Any bookings made using a discount, deal or special offer may have separate terms and conditions. Please contact us directly for this.

Payment and Deposit Policy

  • A deposit, equivalent of at least the first night of the reservation plus $10, is required to confirm the booking, and by paying this you are entering into a contract accepting our booking conditions.
  • Online bookings require full payment for the stay.
  • If not already paid, full payment of the outstanding balance is required on arrival. Payment on departure is only available by pre-arrangement with the manager.

Check In and Check Out

  • Check in time is from 2:00pm to a maximum of 8:00pm. Office hours will change dependant on demand and season. Call the office for the current office hours.
  • Late check-in (after office hours) can be arranged by calling the office.
  • Check out time is no later than 10:00am unless previously arranged with reception.
  • Unauthorized late check out after 10am may result in a penalty being charged to exit the park.

Peak Periods

  • Over the busy peak holiday period and for special events there may be a minimum night stay for pre booked accommodation. Management determines the number of nights by the time of year or the event.
  • Over the busy peak holiday periods and for special events there may be a minimum charge per campsite booked.
  • Peak periods are inclusive from 1st Dec until 1st May.

 Standard Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Should you cancel more than 14 days prior to arrival a $10 cancellation fee will be charged.
  • Cancellations within 14 days of arrival will incur the cost of the first night’s accommodation plus a $10 cancellation fee.
  • Any refund due will be refunded using the payment method originally used to book the accommodation.
  • Full Payment is due on arrival for ALL bookings.
  • After arrival, no refunds are given for any changes. I.e., If fewer guests stay or if you leave early, including for bad weather, personal problems, or eviction.
  • We do not hold credit.
  • If you need to alter your booking the first change is free. Subsequent changes will be charged a $10 administration fee.
  • COVID -19 – our regular cancellation policy applies. If you are in Level 3 or 4 where travel is prohibited only the minimum cancellation fee of $10 will be incurred regardless of how imminent your booking is.

Covid-19 Cancellation Policy

All guests affected by Covid-19 can keep the booking in credit for use at a later date (fully flexible).

  • You have up until the original arrival date to cancel the booking and change it to credit.
  • Credit expires 12 months after cancellation.
  • If you wish to cancel, our cancellation policy in this situation is as follows:

Level 3 and 4 Lockdown cancellations

If you are forced to cancel due to Lockdown travel restrictions (e.g. you are in a Level 3 or 4 Lockdown area) you have the option to take a full refund minus a $10 admin fee.

Level 2 and 1 Lockdown cancellations

If you choose to cancel a booking but you are still able to travel (e.g. you are in a Level 1 or 2 area) the normal cancellation policy applies.

 

Standards of Behaviour

  • Please be advised that we have the right to request ID and to hold card details on file as a behaviour bond. If misbehaviour occurs, the manager has the discretion to evict guests, charge the card a $250 fine and for any extra cleaning or damage without the authorisation of the card holder. In this case any payment for further dates of stay will be forfeit and the guest will be banned from the Park.
  • For the quiet enjoyment of all guests, there is a NO PARTY policy in all rooms, camp sites and communal facilities. Noisy, intoxicated, or anti-social behaviour is not permitted anywhere in the park. If evicted the guest / person could be Trespassed from the park if found onsite again.
  • No gang patches, weapons or illegal drugs are permitted onsite at any time.

Visitors and Unauthorised Guests

  • ALL VISITORS are required to sign in at the office on arrival. VISITING HOURS are limited to office hours. Visitor Passes will be issued at the discretion of the reception staff. Guests must collect all visitors from reception.
  • Any unauthorised person found in the holiday park will be asked to leave immediately and will be charged the nightly rate plus a $25 fine.
  • All visitors must park outside the Park and walk in after registering with reception.

Smoking

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any of the rooms and communal facilities within the holiday park. Additional cleaning fees will be charged against those who ignore this policy.

Vehicles and Caravans

  • One car is permitted on each site. Additional cars may be parked in the Visitor’s Car Park adjacent to Reception.
  • Each vehicle or caravan must be parked within the boundary of the site they have been allocated. If they are found to be overlapping or parked in someone else’s site an additional levy will be charged.
  • All caravans must have a current electrical warrant.
  • Additional vehicles, boats, jet skis, trailers, vans etc are brought at the guests’ risk. There is no guarantee of available parking for extra vehicles.
  • Only approved RCD cords may be used on our powered sites.

Liability

  • Personal belongings, including vehicles and caravans, are always the responsibility of each guest during their stay. We accept no liability whatsoever for any accident, loss or damage to your property, unless such loss is due to our negligence. Also, we cannot be held responsible for the failure of public services (e.g. water, gas, electricity etc).

Pets

  • Guide/assistance dogs are welcome year round
  • We do not allow dogs during peak periods. Outside of that it is best to contact our Reception to confirm whether dogs are allowed for your booking dates – info@wanakalakeview.co.nz.
  • We do not allow dogs in any of our accommodation or units, just a designated area of the park.
  • If guests are travelling with a dog, they must mention this at the time of booking or risk being evicted from the Park.
  • When dogs are permitted to stay, they stay for Free but we do expect dogs to be on leads whilst in the Park, exercise should occur off the Park and all waste should be picked up and disposed of responsibly.

Spa

  • Children must always be supervised.
  • Maximum of 4 people in the spa during any booking.
  • No alcohol, drugs, narcotics, food, glass, or bubble bath is to be used whilst in the spa.
  • Please vacate the spa within your allotted time and leave the spa area as you would expect to find it.
  • If reception is closed and guests have a problem, they can contact us by phone to discuss the problem.
  • Misbehaviour, leaving the spa in a poor condition will not be tolerated. If additional cleaning or presence is required during a spa booking a $50 fine will be issued.

Christmas / New Year

  • During the Christmas/New Year Period (or any other times nominated by management) The Wanaka Lakeview Holiday Park recognises “Youths” as (inclusive of) 16-21 years old.
  • During the Christmas/New Year Period, the Wanaka Lakeview Holiday Park does allow Youths to stay in the designated ‘Youth Section“camping sites within the holiday park.
  • While allowed to stay in these designated sites, youths or each group of up to four “Youths“ must be accompanied by a nominated parent or legal guardian.
  • We do not accept bookings for multiple sites/units with youths and families staying in separate areas of the park. We will only accept bookings in units for ‘family groups’.
  • We do not allow any groups in cabins or the units including youths, or parents staying in cabins / units while youths are staying in the ‘Youth Section”.
  • A site in the “Youth Section” can ONLY be booked by the parent or legal guardian who will be staying on the same site for the same duration as the “Youths”.
  • We require all Youth’s full names and ages at time of booking and any changes must be pre-arranged with reception. Additional “Youths” cannot be added on the day.
  • Security will be on site during the New Year period performing ongoing checks at the entrance and throughout the park for the duration and will be enforcing a glass ban onsite.
